Lad 2

First Month (Suggested: September)

  • Learn pledge (inside front cover) and complete introductory activities (pp. 7-8) (Those children who have successfully completed Lad 1 books will not have to repeat these activities)
  • Complete Part 1 (Your Life) Story and Recall Activity and Bible Verse Activity (pp. 15-18)
  • Work on Electives (Follow the chart on pp. 64-65; however, note that you are not confined to doing only the activities on the pages indicated for the Missions Activity, Interest Activity, and Bible Verse. You can substitute any of these activities with those done during weekly chapter meetings.) Therefore, boys will earn electives from the first month on.
  • Work on the Lad 2 Athletic Patch requirements (pp. 76-79) (optional—you will want to work on this 1 month during the year; you can choose the month that best fits your schedule)
  • Work on learning Bible verses (record memorized verses on p. 71; after 25 verses are learned, boy will earn a Missions Bible Memory Medal)

Second Month (Suggested: October)

  • Complete Part 1 (Your Life) Three Activities (1 activity must be from Lad magazine; then choose 2 additional activity from pp. 19-22 of Lad 2)
  • Continue to work on Electives (see pp. 64-65 for chart)
  • If you have not already done so, work on the Lad 2 Athletic Patch requirements (pp. 76-79)
  • Work on learning Bible verses (record memorized verses on p. 71; after 25 verses are learned, boy will earn a Missions Bible Memory Medal)

Third Month (Suggested: November)

  • Complete Part 2 (Your Home) Story and Recall Activity and Bible Verse Activity (pp. 25-28)
  • If you have not already done so, work on the Lad 2 Athletic Patch requirements (pp. 76-79)
  • Continue to work on Electives (see pp. 64-65 for chart)
  • Work on learning Bible verses (record memorized verses on p. 71; after 25 verses are learned, boy will earn a Missions Bible Memory Medal)

Fourth Month (Suggested: December)

  • Complete Part 2 (Your Home) Three Activities (1 activity must be from Lad magazine; then choose 2 additional activity from pp. 29-32 of Lad 2) Continue to work on Electives (see pp. 64-65 for chart)
