Quick Introduction
The Tri-State Camp-O-Ree is two day-Friday through Saturday-camp where boys and girls in grades 1 through 12 enjoy competition in campcraft and share in Christian interest activities. While this event is sponsored by the Shelby Associational Royal Ambassador program in cooperation with Arkansas, Mississippi and Tennessee Baptist Conventions' mission education departments, all children and youth are invited.
Purpose
This is two-day overnight event is planned specifically for children and youth, with activities directed toward developing strong Christian relationships and a sense of personal worth.
Where
Camp Cordova, Shelby County, Memphis, Tennessee
When
October 6th - 7th, 2000 (Friday 4 p.m. through Saturday 4:30 p.m.). Lad Show & Tell is at 7:30 p.m. Friday. Otherwise you can arrive as late as 8 p.m. and participate in everything except the Youth Speak-out contest which begins at 8 p.m. Friday. Campfire service begins at 9:15 p.m.
All children and youth who reside in Arkansas, Mississippi, or Tennessee and their Counselors. Parents are certainly encouraged to attend!

  • (Registration Fees)
    The Camp-O-Ree Registration fee is $4.50 for all participants, $2 for all adults. Charges in addition to this fee include cafetria (See Hospitality Link), $4.50 cabin and a $2 tent camping fee. Everyone except those with cabin reservations must pay the additional camping fee. Pyment must be made at time of registration or, in the case of cabin and meals, by Thursday October 6th.
  • (Registration Hours)
    Early Registration is Thursday October 6, 2000 between 6:30 p.m. and 9 p.m. at Kirby Woods Baptist Church, 6325 Poplar Ave. Memphis TN. Registration at Camp Cordova begins at 4 p.m. and ends at 9 p.m. on October 7, 2000 for campfire service. Those attending only for Saturday may register any time Saturday morning. Adjustments can be made at any time after registration.
Registration for Events
  • Your packet includes four sheets--white,yellow,pink and blue. Each sheet has a carbonless second sheet to be retained for your records. Leaders must PRINT CLEARLY each participants's name on the proper grade level sheet. Lads 1-3; Crusaders 4-6; Challengers 7-9 and HSBYM 10-12) Adjustments may be made after registration.
  • As a means of tracking participantion, boys/girls will receive a Camp-O-Ree number to pin on thier shirt. The number allows participation in any event for their grade level.
Patches
  • The cost of the 2000 Camp-O-Ree Cheveron is included in participant's registration fee. Additional chevrons are .50 each. Tri-State Camp-O-Ree patches are available for an additional $2.00 each--a one time purchase. Chevron cost is not included within adult registration fees.
