Begin a
Chapter Scrapbook
Begin a
scrapbook of activities and on-mission projects completed by your chapter
this year. Start with the very first chapter meeting. Some ideas for your
scrapbook are:
-
On the
Cover: Your RA Chapter Name (have you named your chapter after a
missionary? See "Start Here" point
number 4 under "Helpful Tips for Getting Started." The
year. Maybe the names of all RAs and Leaders. The RA Logo.
-
Chapter
Meeting pictures and descriptions. Include a summary of a routine
Chapter meeting.
-
On-Mission
Field Projects. Take pictures and write up any on-mission projects as
you do them. (Food Pantry stocking, visiting elderly or sick person,
making craft for delivery to a charity organization, etc.)
-
Fund-raising
Activities. Snap photos at your bike-a-thons or Soup Suppers to raise
money for missions organizations and funds (like Annie Armstrong or
Lottie Moon, World Hunger--ERLC, etc.)
-
RA
Recognition Events. Include pictures of RAs being recognized during RA
Week, or during end-of-year recognition activities.
-
Advancement
Achievements. Any time you award certificates, patches, pins,
chevrons, medals, etc., take a picture and write it up in a paragraph.
-
Visits by
"outsiders." Document missionary speakers, pastor visits, or
any other special visit from someone to your chapter.
-
Camping or
Church Events. Take along that camera when you take to the woods. Or,
if your church has an RA Racer event, click click click!
Your scrapbook
will serve as a wonderful testimony to others of the on-mission activities
of your RAs. It may also serve as a GREAT Promo piece to recruit future
Lads and Crusaders (and leaders). Make your book colorful and
interesting--and most important--have fun!
