On Mission Together: Live with Urgency

Suggested Date: November 2, 2008

Church leaders, especially those who support mission organizations such as Girls in Action, Royal Ambassadors, and Children in Action, recognize that children’s hearts are compassionate and soft toward those in need. They may be willing to sacrifice to meet the needs of other people. We must teach children to live with urgency when it comes to meeting the needs of those around them to know Jesus as their Savior.

Use this special emphasis Sunday to recognize the role of adults in helping children discern how God may be calling them to embrace His direction for them—first by accepting Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, and then continuing to grow in stature and favor with the Lord and with men. Help children and youth understand that being on mission means they are to live with urgency in helping others hear God’s call and respond to it.
