Family Chart  Make a list of chores done at your house. Print each family member's name across the top of the list. Who does each chore? Who does most of the work? What can you do to help them finish their chores more quickly? Choose one chore done by another member of your family and do it for him or her this week. Make and print a chart similar to this one for kids to fill in:

Mom

Dad Melissa Jake Austin
dishes
laundry
clean my room
sweep kitchen floor
take out trash

Whew! What a Load!
Gather a stack of books and a friend. How many books can you hold if the friend stacks them on your left hand? How many books can you hold in your right hand? Now, use both of your hands. How many books can you hold? How many books can you hold if your friend helps?
God wants us to work together in the church to help each other with problems and projects. Any load is lighter if we share it!

Find the Burden Relief

Encouragement Cards
Gather crayons or markers and a piece of paper. Make a card of encouragement for a neighbor who is lonely or sick. Fold the paper in half. Decorate the inside and outside of the card. Consider writing something like "I am thinking of you," "God will be with you always," or "Have a sunshiny day" on it. Deliver the card this week.

Encourage Puzzle
Encouragement is an important gift. Click here and have your children fill in this fun puzzle with words that emphasize the meaning of the word "encouragement."

Thank You Note
Gather two pieces of paper, crayons or markers, and a pencil. List all the things you can do. Your list could include breathe on your own, feed yourself, or work on a computer better than any grown-up you know. Write God a thank you note for these blessings.

Give Encouragement
Make a list of the most important people in your life. Your list might include family members, teachers, and friends. Encouragement could be as simple as a kind word ("You look GREAT today!) or trying your best on a test. List one thing you can do to encourage each person on your list. Do as many of these actions as possible this week.
