Classic RAs

Classic Royal Ambassadors is the method of leadership that includes eight parts to every chapter meeting. The eight parts are: Before the Meeting—the leader prepares himself for the meeting and prepares the meeting room; While the Boys Arrive—as the children arrive, they take part in some puzzle, action song, game, or campcraft; Opening—the chapter opens in prayer and says the RA Motto or RA Pledge; Business—the leader calls the roll, records advancement, and reports on missions projects, missions activity plans, and advancement plans; Meeting Feature—the children work on advancement, learning activities, songs, Bible verses, missions stories and recall activities in the magazines, and missions games; Counselor’s Time—the RA counselor provides summary thoughts; Closing—the chapter closes in prayer; After the Meeting—the counselors evaluate the meeting, straighten the room, and remove and store equipment.

EASY RA

The Easy RA method of leadership was developed in 1994 for the purpose of giving churches that did not have children’s mission education an opportunity to use a streamlined version of the RA program. This method is especially effective for co-educational groups, involving both boys and girls, encouraging both men and women as leaders. The Easy RA Planbook is available in a self-contained annual book. A church may wish to run a basic RA program using only this resource, which will allow leaders to tailor the program based on their own needs and finances.
